CFES Fitness Knowledge Course
This course is where it all starts and is the first step in Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer certification. Basic knowledge is the key to success and safety. Topics include human anatomy, physiology, and the skeletal, muscular, cardiovascular and nervous systems. Explore movement analysis, basic nutrition and active living concepts. Gain the foundation for a career as a fitness professional or take your personal fitness goals to the next level.
In The Course You Will Learn:
• All about your bones and muscles and how they function in exercise and basic movement;
• About your heart and lungs and how to care for them;
• How to burn fat, shape and tone muscle;
• Exercise physiology for strength, flexibility and cardiorespiratory endurance;
• The principles of exercise safety;
• Basic nutrition guidelines and weight management principles;
• Teaching approaches for the adult learner.
