DESCRIPTION:CFES Aquafit Instructor Course\n This course will teach you foundation knowledge and instructor skills to successfully complete CFES Aquafit Instructor certification — enabling you to program and lead basic water fitness classes. \n CFES Aquafit Instructor Course Content\nIn this course you will learn: \n\nTo program plan for all fitness levels and class sections for aquatic fitness classes.\nHow to create a safe and caring atmosphere.\nProperly screen your participants\, provide on-going screening and monitoring of the participants for the duration of the program and provide modifications to accommodate all levels of ability\, and to design\, modify\, and lead a safe\, effective\, and appropriate water fitness exercise class.\nCueing and working with music.\nUse of shallow\, and deep water space and group formations and choreography skills.\nCommunication skills and professional ethics.\nStudents get ample teaching opportunities within the course and practicums.\n\nPrerequisite: CFES Fitness Knowledge Course or equivalency \nCourse Conductor: Monica Thomson\, CFES Educator \nLocation: Bulkley Valley Regional Pool and Recreation Centre \nDates & Times: September 11 & 12\, 2026\n9:00 am – 5:30 pm \nFees: $590.00 includes manual and workbook\n9:00 am – 5:30 pm \nTo register: Bulkley Valley Regional Pool and Recreation Centre \n
